The images below show how i have developed my design ideas from the drawing board and then moved onto applying to illustrator. the design sheet below shows a range of different ideas for my web design layout. I have made sure to stick to a simplistic grid that will display the content of my design. The background for my web design will be all white i feel this will create a great contrast between the logo and most of all will direct the focus to the content of the design rather than the background.
This design sheet is showing how i have experimented with a range of different layouts and ideas, i will be moving this on to digitalise some ideas and will manipulate the ideas as i go within illustrator.
Digitalised mock ups, the mock ups i have created below are simply displaying how my filter idea works, as you can see a genre/colour is selected and then only the content wanted is displayed creating a much more user friendly design.
As you can see below and to the left, i have experimented with the placement and backgrounds of the design however i feel it is simply over powering and overcomplicating the design as a whole and i feel it should be left simple as this can only improve the usability of the design. Aswell as communicating the content rather than its fancy aesthetic.
Image again showing how i have mocked up the advert idea i feel this is clear i am gutted i didnt get round to making these adverts as i feel they could have been very effective in conveying the aims of the channel.
